Why iPhones's Smaller battery can potentially Outlast Android Phones?
What's Going on? Let's Find Out!
The latest iPhone 15 Pro Max has a battery capacity of 4,441mAh which is close to 4,500mAh.
But then still, Android try to pack a bigger battery in them for Example: 5000mAh or sometimes even 6000mAh..
Battery mAh, What's the Deal?
So we already know what mAh stands for - MilliAmp hour or sometimes written milliamphour. Just as you say 🤷♂️ We get back to the question, Why are Androids trying to pack bigger batteries but even the 3000-4000mAh iPhones give enough SOT (Screen On Time).
Understanding the Android Market
Android was originally made for digital cameras, until later the founders changed their minds and made it a mobile operating system.
This change was huge, it introduced many brands rushing into the market.
The product? So Many choices of smartphones to buy. But with great power comes great responsibility, and it did. Android was designed with all the different kinds of devices in mind decreasing the amount of effort put to optimization.
Apple? they have a rather small lineup of devices. This leads to more efficient management of the software iOS and its other forms like MacOS, WatchOS or even iPadOS.
Apple also produces they're custom hardware and chipset making it easier to put software control and limitations. While, Android supports hundreds if not thousands of chipsets.
Conclusion
tldr; The efficient ecosystem management of Apple makes the battery life on their products go longer even after a smaller mAh count. Androids although have caught up too with their larger mAh counts as compensation for the management situation.
